David Ridge replied to Peter Smith's discussion What the Flip am I doing? in the group Activist’s Welfare Centre
"I just looked up Tamworth, it kinda near Birmingham. If you want a face to face meet I would happily make my place in central east London available or there are many good public places to meet in the capital. We could each bring a pet theme to share…"

David Ridge replied to Jez Hall's discussion Introduce yourself (if you'd like to) in the group Occupy: We are the 99%

David Ridge commented on Nick Beddow's group Beyond capitalism
"I agree with Jez, that gap between the general discontent many people feel and the habitual insecurity that finding another way of living isnt obvious and predictably safe - is where politicians and many forms of authority drive their bandwagons and…"

David Ridge commented on Nick Beddow's group Beyond capitalism
"Are structures inherently unstable? The more rigid the structure (Soviet Union, patriarchy, classical education, etc.) the more likely to collapse. Institution become part of the problems they were set up to resolve. Is almost everything in modern…"

David Ridge commented on Nick Beddow's group Beyond capitalism
"If the current way of commodifying everything is limiting to human interaction and corrodes our interaction (rings true to me) the way forward possibly depends on two main strands of belief about human nature: 1. Humans always want to exploit…"
