About Me
1960 Brighton, original punk rocker, IT guy, pub landlord, Countdown Octochamp, political revolutionary. Joiined the IS/SWP in 1976, left in 1980, joined Labour party summer 2017. In between I spent 37 years freethinking solutions to our ills, universal payments, a new role for trade unions, direct democracy using the Internet to let the public vote on everything - currently parked, taking on the mainstream media, a new banking system all the while working 7 days a week running a hotel.

What brings you to NatCAN?
I started running a direct democracy campaign, Vote For Yourself, in Sept 2009, the idea being that everyone could vire online and that would be preferable to political parties. After the Brexit referendum I parked the campaign because I had overestimated the capabilities of a large minority of the public, they're just not ready.

The lies and distortions of the mainstream media on behalf of the 1% need to be challemged if we are going to evolve. I recognise that everyone who is protesting and seeks significant change needs to rally under one banner.

Yours, mine some other - it isn't important which banner, but if it doesn't happen the 1% will continue to run the world to the disadvantage of the 99%.
