Admitting that it has lost touch with “its customers and members and with the communities in which it operates”, the Co-op is at a crossroads. After the near collapse of its bank, the Co-op is asking anyone and everyone to help determine the organisation’s future direction.

Government paves way for sale of country's 300,000 allotments

Eric Pickles, the Communities Secretary, is examining plans to free local authorities from a 103-year-old obligation to provide plots of public land for cultivation by gardeners. Pull Finger or your medical records are for sale

Apparently, the government intends selling our medical records to anyone that wants them?

Companies will be able to buy them from the NHS’s new patient database - everything from mental health conditions, sexually transmitted infections and diseases like cancer, linked to your postcode, gender and ethnicity.

We’ve all been opted in to the scheme by the government.
