PFI albatross opens NHS up to private sector

The resource-draining Private Finance Initiative (PFI) foisted on public sector projects by New Labour is helping to create the conditions for the break-up and privatisation of the National Health Service.

Why Are We Bailing Out The Banks

For months now we have been bombarded with information about the 'Financial Crisis' the Euro Zone, Growth, Inflation etc. etc. etc.

It's really hard to get your head around what's going on. The language used is so technical.

We get an inkling of what is happening in Greece, Spain and Ireland and hope to hell that doesn't happen here.

Is it all our fault because we borrowed too much so we have to bail out the banks with the money that used…

Criminalising public protest?

Next week Trenton Oldfield, the man who disrupted the Oxford and Cambridge boat race, will be sentenced for causing a 'public nuisance'. This ancient law has no sentencing guidelines, allowing judges to impose anything up to life imprisonment.

Seeking support with an Appeal to the Criminal Cases Review Board to quash the convictions of two Young Innocent Men who were hung in 1952


I very recently decided to trace my family history , I was astounded to find out , that I have a second cousin Edward Francis Devlin a Mancunian like myself , who was hung at the age of 22 with another young mancunian aged 21 called Arthur Burns in a Liverpool prison in 1952 per a crime they seemingly didn't commit.
